GDF Suez does not plan to shut down power plants in Hungary, although it did not extend operating permits for four obsolete blocks of the Dunamenti plant that expired at the end of last year, Peter Csiba, deputy chief of the company’s holding unit in Hungary, told MTI on Tuesday. Csiba said a report in French business daily Les Echos that GDF Suez had shut down plants in Hungary over the past three years was incorrect.
