The base in Nyíregyháza will supply all EU members in the region as well as Romania and Ukraine with coloring materials for plastics. It is expected to generate revenue of Ft 500 million in its first year of operation, but rapid revenue growth is targeted by 2008 and 2009, Pál said. The plant will be built one module at a time. It will employ 20 workers at the start and as many as 100 later on. Production at Gabriel-Chemie’s plant in nearby Tiszaújváros will move to Nyíregyháza, but the facility will still handle some logistics.
Gabriel-Chemie is building a similar manufacturing and logistics center to the one in Nyíregyháza outside of Moscow, Managing Director Leopold Katzmayer said.
