Swedish-owned BKZ Zrt plans to invest Euro 377 million in Hungary with the construction of four new bio-ethanol production plants. The plants will be built in Mohács, south Hungary, Gönyű, north Hungary, Marcali, southwest Hungary and Kaba, east Hungary. The plants will be operated by license owner EBP European Bioenergy Kft. Construction work will start in the beginning of next year and production may commence in the middle of 2008. The new factories will create in the range of 300 jobs altogether, and will produce a total of 120,000 tons of pure ethanol per year, all of which will be exported to Sweden. (NG 4) M.K.
