ISP EnterNet is building Hungary’s first open-access broadband optical network in partnership with the local council of Hódmezővásárhely (SE Hungary), the company told MTI.

The first homes will be connected to the more than HUF 2bn network at the beginning of 2012. The project is expected to take two years.

It will take more than five years to recoup the cost of the investment, EnterNet said.

EnterNet has set up a joint venture with the local council to build the network.
