Emissions dropped 18% in the industrial sector and were down 12% in the farm sector. Waste management sector emissions fell 1%, while transport emissions edged up.
Emissions are down 37% from 1990, the ministry noted. The government targets a 40% drop in emissions from the 1990 base by 2030, but the ministry is proposing modifying that target to 50%.
