In order to promote Hungarian bus makers’ interests and help them acquire markets, the Hungarian Bus Manufacturers’ Cluster Association (MAK) has participated in several talks with MNV officials in charge of the Volán bus companies, officials of the National Economy Ministry as well as the Budapest transport company BKV and the National Transport Holding, MAK chairman István Fórián told the paper.
The Cluster Association has made proposals for the establishment of a system of criteria relating to bus purchases and for a return to traditional export markets. The Association plans to map the European export markets for supplier companies and to develop joint projects to develop buses using alternative fuels.
