The Hungary-Romania Cross-border Partnership Program is supported with €211m by the European Union in the 2007-2013 budget period, head of the authority in charge of international partnership programs of the National Development Agency (NFU) Balázs Simó said at a conference in Debrecen on Wednesday.
A total of €135m has been allocated for the more than 260 projects under implementation, he added.
Simó said decisions will be taken on further funding of €20m in the autumn, and a new tender will be called to allocate a further 50m, inviting organisations participating in the development of cross-border cooperation primarily in the areas of transport, culture and communication to submit applications by January.
