Pre-registration for the new state solar panel subsidy system started at 10 a.m. yesterday, according to Bank360.hu.

The exact date is important because applicants will receive the money in the order in which registrations are received, and the capacity of the program is limited: A maximum of 15,160 applicants can benefit from the scheme.

The new program allows individuals to apply for non-refundable state aid of up to HUF 5 million. This can be used not only for the solar energy production system itself but also for the devices that store the generated electricity.

According to the announcement, the subsidy can cover a maximum of 66% of the investment; the rest must be from savings or a loan.
