The rural development minister, Viktória Lőrincz, said in a post in social media on Thursday that the government is helping those who, through no fault of their own, were unable to complete the developments for which they applied for financing.

For those whose delays are only due to administrative processes or whose project would be completed soon can still count on the support, Lőrincz said.

She added that where projects stalled because of contractors letting down clients, the state will collect advance payments from the companies that did not fulfil their obligations, and not from homeowners.
