The party was accompanied to the meeting by Hong Kyu Dok, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Hungary.
At the meeting, the parties continued discussing the international situation of the battery industry related to the electric vehicle industry, as well as the challenges facing the sector and the opportunities inherent in the green transition.
“Hungary is already at the forefront of high-tech battery production, as our country’s GDP-related exports of batteries and battery components already exceed 5%, making it the leader of the EU countries,” Nagy said.
The minister added that he considers it important to make contact with companies such as SungEel, because battery processing and the recycling of valuable raw materials are still missing industries in Hungary and throughout Europe.
