Solar developer Chint Solar announced in a press statement yesterday that it would develop almost 200 megawatt-peak (MWp) of solar photovoltaic projects in Hungary.

Construction of the five solar parks will begin in the second quarter of this year, with commissioning expected in 2024. The projects will all be in the northern part of the country, ranging in size from 29 MWp to 51 MWp.

Chint Solar will be responsible for the construction and operation of the Hungarian portfolio it is developing along with local partner Green Plan Energy.

It recently sold the project portfolio to the energy company Shanghai Electric Power.
