EC: Hungary’s operative programs ready for approval

History

The European Commission (EC) classified the operative programs submitted by the Hungarian government for the 2014-20 EU budget period as ready for approval, deputy state secretary for development policy communication Nándor Csepreghy told Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday, adding that the document is scheduled to be issued before the end of the year.

“Although the operative programs are officially approved in the first few months of next year, there will be an opportunity for the Hungarian government to draw down advance amounts from the 2014-2020 European Union funding” MTI cited the official saying.

The current decision by the European Commission enables the Hungarian government to call further EU tenders early 2015, in addition to to the nine it has called so far, Csepreghy said.
