HUF 14 bln in Farmer Insurance Premium Subsidies Approved in Dec
In connection with more than 23,000 farmer applications, almost HUF 14 billion in insurance premium subsidies were approved in December for farmers who add agricultural insurance to their risk management toolkit.
State Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development Zsolt Feldman announced the approval of subsidies in a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture last week.
Feldman drew attention to the fact that the aim of the ministry, in addition to encouraging the wider application of technological developments and production practices for the prevention of damage caused by climate change, is also for plant growers and gardeners to supplement their risk management tools with agricultural insurance as much as possible in the spirit of self-care.
