New Agricultural Tenders Starting Next Year
The schedule has been prepared, the new agricultural and rural development tenders will start at the beginning of next year, with up to HUF 9 billion available to farmers, the Minister of Agriculture István Nagy announced on his Facebook page.
Nagy recalled that last year's drought, wartime inflation, the Brussels sanctions, and the market challenges caused by duty-free Ukrainian crops created extraordinary conditions in agriculture.
In this situation, efforts must be made to ensure that the HUF 600 bln EU rural development subsidy, which the Hungarian government supplements with an additional HUF 200 bln-300 bln, is spent on practical support for agriculture and rural development, he added.
