Hungarian farmers have harvested 3.9 million tonnes of wheat, Agriculture Ministry state secretary Zsolt Feldman said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The grain harvest has finished early this year because of the extreme heat and drought conditions, Feldman said.
Wheat yields averaged 4.2 tonnes per hectare.
Farmers harvested 1.4m tonnes of barley, with an average yield reaching 4.5 tonnes per hectare.
The rapeseed harvest came to 450,000 tonnes, with yields averaging 2.2 tonnes per hectare.
