Higher Volume Lifts Farm Sector Output in 2023

Output of Hungary's farm sector rose 6.6% to HUF 4.338 trillion in 2023 as volume climbed and prices fell, a second estimate released by the Central Statisticsal Office (KSH) shows.

Overall, output volume climbed 25.2%, while prices fell 14.8%.

Output value of crops and gardening products increased by 3.1% to HUF 2.387 tln. The volume of the segment increased 44.6%, but prices dropped 28.7%.

Output value of live animals and animal products grew 11.9% to HUF 1.644 tln. Volume edged down 0.5%, while prices increased 12.5%.
