Farmgate Prices Fall 16% in July

Farmgate prices in Hungary fell 16% year-on-year in July, dropping for the fourth month in a row, after climbing for years, news agency MTI writes, citing data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

Crop prices declined 26.8% as grain prices plunged 41.9%.

The price of livestock and animal products rose 9.2% as prices for live animals climbed 15.6% but animal product prices fell 4.1%.
