Chili Produkt Develops Organic Insecticide

Chili Produkt, which produces and sells paprika and other spices, has wound up a project to develop a natural insecticide that can be used for organic crops, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The insecticide uses an essential oil compound that drives pests away, Chili Produkt said.
The project was supported by HUF 162 million in European Union and state funding.
Chili Produkt had net revenue of HUF 2.5 billion last year, public records show.
