Uber free for the weekend
U.S.-based transportation network application Uber is offering free transport for its current and new users as a way of showing gratitude for their application being used in Budapest, Uber said late yesterday in a press release.
In the past three months, tens of thousands of trips have been completed using Uber, and thousands of Hungarian users have downloaded the application since its launch in the country, the press release says.
Every user can opt for a maximum of ten free trips in the period between March 20 to March 22, with a maximum value of HUF 3,000 per trip. Both the departure and arrival locations must be in Budapest. In the event that the trip’s price exceeds HUF 3,000, the additional amount will be debited from the passenger’s credit card.
