V4 Startup Force, supported by the International Visegrád Fund, starts today, aimed at boosting the expansion and regional relations of Czech, Polish, Slovak, and Hungarian startups, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The program includes a team from each Visegrád country, with participants taking part in intensive business development. The program starts today, May 6, in Budapest, and will be followed by a ten-day round trip of all Visegrád capitals, where the teams can meet representatives of each local startup ecosystem. A number of mentors will aid the development of the startups, with each team receiving the opportunity to present themselves in front of major companies in the region.
"Our goal is to make the talents of the region develop together, know each other even at the beginning of their successes, and to strengthen their ties to the region," said Gergely Böszörményi-Nagy, executive director of Design Terminal, at the opening ceremony of the program.
"The task of the Visegrád Fund is to show and utilize synergies between the member countries, with the help of company development, among others," noted Andor F. Dávid, CEO of the International Visegrád Fund. "The program starting now, which allows the individual development of startups and also the mapping of cooperation possibilities, is an excellent example."
The program is realized with the leadership of Design Terminal, in partnership with UP21 from Czech Republic, MIT Enterprise Forum CEE from Poland, and CAMPUS from Slovakia.
The startups participating in the program are Whalebone (Czech Republic), offering cybersecurity solutions to protect networks against infected websites and malware; Renderro (Poland), offering a cloud-based, high-speed workspace for filmmakers, engineers, architects, and graphic artists; H4 (Hungary), offering audit and quality control software solutions for industrial and manufacturing companies; and Virtual Everything (Slovakia), offering VR and AR solutions to support the sales, marketing, product development, and employee training processes of companies.
