Mezőberény has started a geothermal project to provide cheap environmentally-friendly heat and hot water to the city’s public institutions with an EU grant of HUF 410 million and HUF 273 million of self-financing, state secretary Bence Rétvári said.
The city expects to recoup its investment in 6-7 years.
