Listed IT company 4iG yesterday said it acquired 100% of the shares of Albania Telekom Invest, which owns 99.899% of the shares of mobile phone operator ONE Telecommunications, following a successful proceeding before the Albanian competition authority and the financial closing of the transaction.

According to an announcement on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange, ONE is the second and fastest growing mobile operator with 1.36 million subscribers in Albania.

Its 632 transmission towers offer 98.5% national coverage. With the acquisition, 4iG has become one of the largest foreign investors in Albania.

Two weeks ago, 4iG acquired ALBtelecom, a leading 4P (Product, Price, Promotion, and Place) operator in the Albanian telecommunications market, which is also a market leader in fixed voice, internet, and TV services.

The two Albanian subsidiaries of the 4iG Group have complementary portfolios, and the completion of the acquisition of ONE allows for strategic cooperation and strong synergies, 4iG said in the statement.
