Hungary Registers 12,636 COVID Cases, 104 Deaths in a Week

The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Hungary has risen by 12,636, while 104 deaths from COVID-19 have been registered over the past week, data on the government's dedicated website for news on the pandemic, koronavirus.gov.hu, show.
The number of active infections has reached 36,163.
The number of COVID-19 deaths stands at 47,680.
There are 1,700 coronavirus patients in hospital, including 32 on ventilators.
A total of 2,120,543 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Hungary since the start of the pandemic.
So far, 6,418,580 people have been inoculated against the coronavirus. They include 6,205,067 who have already had their second jab of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 3,898,061 have had a booster jab.
The country's population is a little under 9.7 million.
