Innovation

Fintech company W.UP and Corvinus University of Budapest have completed a HUF 722 million project to develop an automated decision support system (DSS) based on real-life situations, consortium leader W.UP told state news wire MTI.

The project was funded by almost HUF 500 million in European Union and state grant money.

W.UP marketing director Zoltán Lászóo told MTI the DSS is designed to help businesses in the production or service sectors, public sector institutions or even private individuals take better decisions based on an analysis of big data using artificial intelligence.

The partners started work on the project in 2019.

W.UP has participated in implementing over 50 internet and mobile banking systems in the past 15 years.

The company had net sales revenue of HUF 3.2 billion in 2020, public records show.
