The state of Hungary could acquire terrestrial broadcaster Antenna Hungária if the unit splits from its French parent TDF, business daily Napi Gazdaság said on Tuesday, without citing any sources. TDF owner, US private equity group TPG, is reportedly moving ahead with plans to break up and sell the company which has businesses in Spain, Germany, Poland and Estonia, in addition to France. Antenna Hungária has spent some HUF 25 billion to introduce terrestrial digital television in Hungary since 2008. The rollout of the service is currently underway.
