Six teams in Design Terminalʼs Mentoring Program
Six of 215 applying startups have been selected to participate in Design Terminalʼs Mentoring Program this fall, with the program attracting startup enterprises from 56 countries around the globe, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The program was launched in 2014, turning international in 2016. Over the course of its operation, Design Terminal has contributed to the further development of the products of more than 800 startups, also providing help in the realization of successful investments and corporate collaborations, says the press release.
Design Terminal decided to renew its Mentoring Program this fall, with an emphasis on the preparation of startups and major corporations ensuring effective and successful cooperation. Apart from the support of domestic and international mentors, the participants also get the chance to collaborate with the organizerʼs corporate partners, such as E.ON, MOL, Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems Budapest, and BlackRock Budapest.
The six teams taking part in this fallʼs program include four Hungarian startups: Cogito, a social platform built on collaboration and offering e-learning; Innobie, a startup with a mission to turn the excitement of tuition into an everyday experience with the use of augmented reality; Photon, a mediation agency for photographers and video-makers that aims to make it a matter of just a few clicks to link an appropriate expert to a given project; and ShareKiwi, a local, non-network system making secure communications possible, effective in numerous areas of implementation within a range of up to 45 kilometers.
The two further participants are Real Edu from Sweden, aiming at modernizing higher education by familiarizing students with relevant work-related problems; and U.S. startup Socialmap, a Boston-based platform analyzing employees.
The talent management program, which received an award from the European Commission in 2014, is supported by domestic and international corporations as well as the Ministry of Human Capacities, according to the press release.
