Road maintenance company completes HUF 1.4 bln bridge
The Baross Gábor bridge which crosses the Budapest-Vienna railway line in the center of Győr in northwestern Hungary, received a HUF 1.4 bln upgrade and will be open to traffic on Monday, state-owned road maintenance company Magyar Közúti Nonprofit announced yesterday.
The bridge, originally built in 1893, closed for the renovation in May. The project was financed entirely by grant money, as it is part of the HUF 2.5 bln bridge renovation program that includes a total of eight projects, the company added.
