This move comes in response to the growing demand for hybrid working solutions across the country, which has seen a sharp rise in inquiries for space at IWG locations, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The new 600-square-meter Regus workspace is the first phase of a 1,200-square-meter project in the Lion Office Center, the largest office park in Eastern Hungary. Located in one of Debrecen’s fastest-growing business districts, the office is just a 10-minute walk from both the city center and the train station. The location offers a range of amenities, including private offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces, and creative areas, with additional transport access through a bus stop right in front of the property.
József Boros, owner of Lion Office Center, added: “The site of the former tobacco factory in Debrecen is not only part of the city’s industrial history, but also a modern, modern-day success story. The Lion Office Center in Debrecen is the largest office park in Eastern Hungary. We are delighted that we decided to work with such a valuable company as International Workplace Group to create real solutions for the growing demand for hybrid working in Debrecen, which is an attractive, modern solution not only for employees but also for the companies operating here.”
Mark Dixon, CEO & founder of IWG, commented: “We are establishing stronger and much-needed footprints in Debrecen with this new opening. As the second largest city of Hungary and important business hub, Debrecen is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans. The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal. We are very pleased to work in a partnership with Lion Office Center to develop the Regus brand under management agreements that will add a cutting-edge workspace to their building.”
Regus Debrecen aims to support a variety of businesses, from established companies to startups, offering them tailored solutions through IWG’s “Design Your Own Office” service. This feature allows companies to customize their space according to specific needs, making it an appealing choice for businesses looking to adapt to the hybrid working model.
