The company was named Developer of the Year, and its latest warehouse development won Project of the Year. Additionally, Futureal co-founder Gábor Futó received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the event.

The Developer of the Year award acknowledged HelloParks’ rapid expansion since its founding in October 2020. The company now develops over 1 million square meters of industrial and warehouse space across four key transportation hubs surrounding Budapest: Maglód, Fót, Páty, and Alsónémedi, covering around 200 hectares in total.

The Project of the Year award went to HelloParks’ AN1 development in Alsónémedi, a 60,000 sqm warehouse featuring advanced sustainability features. The project aims to achieve a Breeam “Outstanding” certification in the New Construction category, reflecting HelloParks’ commitment to building exclusively eco-friendly warehouses—an industry-first in Hungary.

At the gala, Gábor Futó, co-founder of Futureal, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Alongside his father, Péter Futó, Gábor established the company, which has grown into one of Central Europe’s leading real estate developers and investors over the past two decades. Under his leadership, the company’s equity value has increased more than 200-fold, earning it a place among Europe’s top 10 real estate developers. Futó’s foresight during the pandemic led to HelloParks’ rapid ascent, as the company capitalized on the growing demand for sustainable mega-parks, making it Hungary’s third-largest industrial real estate developer by total area.

HelloParks’ HelloZero ESG strategy outlines ambitious goals for reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency. The company has developed a unique carbon reduction roadmap for the Hungarian market, aiming to reduce embedded carbon by 25% in warehouses constructed from 2025, and by 50% from 2030, compared to its initial buildings, which already meet Western European standards.

The company’s new developments, starting in late 2024, will meet the 2025 targets, and it aims to achieve net-zero operational carbon by 2028 with 100% renewable energy, the company tells the Budapest Business Journal.
