Czech developer RC Europe said in Tuesday it plans to build a distribution and logistics centre in Croatia worth an estimated HRK 500 million (EUR 66 million), news portal SeeNews reported.
The city council of Samobor, located west of Zagreb, approved last month a new urban plan as a condition for development of a new industrial zone Bobovica, RC Europe said in a statement.
This way RC Europe received direct support from the city enabling the company to start preparing documentation for the construction of the centre which will feature 83,000 square metres of warehousing space.
The project is expected to create some 800 jobs for warehouse workers.
The construction works are expected to be finished in 2023-2024.
