Slovakia Construction Output Rises in November
Slovakia's construction output increased 6.9% year-on-year in November from a 5% rise in the previous month, data from the Slovak Statistical Office (SÚSR) on Thursday show.
It was the largest growth since February, as domestic production grew for the seventh consecutive month (7.3%), mainly driven by repair & maintenance (4.2%) and buildings (5.1%).
However, output increased at a lesser extent for new construction (7.5% vs 9.2% in October) and engineering construction (11.1% vs 17.7%).
Moreover, construction abroad (2% vs -11%) rebounded. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output rose 2.4% in November, accelerating from a 2.1% rise in the previous month.
