Several Trillion HUF in EU Funds Incoming to Construction Industry

In the current EU budget cycle, several trillion forints of EU funds may come to the construction industry, announced Szabolcs Ágostházy, the state secretary responsible for European Union developments in the Cabinet of Ministers for Territorial Development, according to business daily Világgazdaság.

At the meeting of the National Professional Association of Construction Contractors (Évosz) and the construction economy college of the Chamber of Industry, the state secretary indicated that the high-rise building sector could receive HUF 2.755 trillion from EU funds.

He said that the civil engineering sub-sector could receive around HUF 1.644 tln.

Additionally, approximately HUF 1.8 tln would be allocated to complex construction industry developments in the next six years, according to the report.
