PwC hosts CEE VAT antifraud conference
PwC is organizing a conference on November 19 aimed at bringing together experts from the fields of public finance and tax consultancy as well as business representatives from five CEE countries – Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Slovakia – to tackle issue of VAT tax evasion in the CEE region, according to an announcement issued by the company today.
The mandate of the conference is to create a forum for the exchange of ideas and best practices and to enhance regional cooperation between public officials in the finance sector and businesses operating in CEE. The following guests speakers will be in attendance: Mihály Varga, minister for national economy Hungary; Andrej Babiš, minister of finance, Czech Republic; Daniel Čech, general director, Department of Taxes and Customs, Slovak Finance Directorate; and a number of PwC partners from the region.
