Number of Registered Jobseekers Down 3% in November

The number of registered jobseekers in Hungary reached 226,129 in November, down 3% from the same month a year earlier, according to data from the National Employment Service (NFSz), writes hrportal.hu.

The number fell by around a hundred from October.

The data shows 3,263 Hungarians registered as jobseekers for the first time during the month. The total number of new jobseeker registrations reached 28,496. Around 42% of registered jobseekers received no benefits in November.

About 36% had been seeking work for longer than a year. Jobseekers were registered for 492 days on average.
