Craftsmen Earnings up Significantly Since 2020

HR

The earnings of craftsmen have increased significantly since 2020, according to the business daily Világgazdaság.

For example, the salaries of air conditioner fitters, bricklayers, and room painters have more than doubled, and the difference in wages between the capital and the countryside has decreased.

As far as net nominal incomes are concerned, the earnings of highly experienced "masters" have now reached or approached HUF 1 million per month in some professions, which is what air-conditioning installers, painters, carpenters, locksmiths, and masons earn.

The wages of electricians and tilers are only slightly below that, the report noted.
