Sándor Csányi, CEO of OTP Bank, has made it to the World’s Billionaires List of Forbes magazine, after the magazine included his holdings and investment fund in Singapore, Hungarian tabloid daily Blikk reported today.
Csányi’s wealth, after his assets increased by HUF 120 bln in the past year “on paper”, is currently estimated at HUF 287.9 bln, according to Blikk.
According to Hungarian online daily origo.hu, Csányi missed making it to the top of the Hungarian list last year, when his wealth was calculated at HUF 120 bln, but he now holds the No. 1 position. This yearʼs list also features György Gattyán, owner of Jasmin.com porn website, ranking second with 165.4 bln, while Hungaryʼs third richest is László Bige, leader of Nitrogénművek Vegyipari Zrt., with HUF 157.3 bln, according to origo.hu.
Csányi is the first Hungarian to be listed on the World’s Billionaires List of Forbes magazine, according to Hungarian news agency MTI, which is led this year, once again, by Bill Gates ($79.3 bln).
