Snack maker Mondelez International, formerly known as Kraft Foods, is investing $19 million at its base in Székesfehérvár to install capacity for Milka brand chocolate biscuit sandwiches, Mondelez Hungaria managing director Iryna Shandaryvska said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday. The investment will boost capacity at the biscuit plant in Szekesfehervar by 30%, Shandaryvska said. Construction has already begun and the production lines are expected to be installed in December, she said. The investment will create 200 jobs, she added. The new products will not be available in Hungary for the time being. Mondelez International has invested almost HUF 3 billion at the base, owned by unit Győri Keksz, in recent years. Mondelez Hungária had revenue of HUF 34.6 billion in 2011.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business.
