Magyar Telekom to strengthen position in 4G, mobile content service

Telco

Magyar Telekom will strengthen its position in mobile content service such as music and video accessible on mobile devices in 2013, which could help promote the spread of fourth-generation 4G/LTE data transfer technology, the company's deputy CEO for retail services Attila Keszeg told MTI in Barcelona. Keszeg said the increase in consumers' demand for everyday data transfer will lead to the spreading of LTE technology. The company reported a net income increase from a HUF 40.3 billion negative in 2011 to negative HUF 1.6 billion in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to Magyar Telekom’s newly published earnings report. The company is expected to announce its dividend proposal today around noon.
