Hungarian low-fare airline Wizz Air on Thursday said it signed a contract on the lease and delivery of three new Airbus A320-200 aircraft with Mitsubishi Corporation Aviation Partners (MCAP). Wizz Air will take delivery of the aircraft in 2013 and 2014. Wizz Air CEO Jozsef Varadi said the joint financing contract was the first the airline signed with MCAP, but it hoped to broaden the cooperation. The average age of Wizz Air’s fleet is four years, making it one of the youngest in Europe. At present, Wizz Air has 39 Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline flies more than 250 routes to 83 destinations in 29 countries.
