The ultra-low-cost carrier, one of Europe’s largest, tested the product on selected flights serving Budapest, Bucharest-Otopeni, Warsaw, London Luton, London Gatwick and Rome Fiumicino. According to the airline, customer interest exceeded expectations, particularly among business travelers looking for more space and a more comfortable onboard experience.

WIZZ Class offers passengers additional personal space by keeping the middle seats in the first row — seats 1B and 1E — unoccupied. The configuration is designed to provide a quieter and more comfortable environment, including for passengers who wish to work during the flight.

The service can be purchased as an add-on during the booking process when selecting Wizz Air’s Smart or Plus fare bundles. These packages already include priority boarding and a 10-kilogram carry-on bag. In addition to the blocked middle seat, WIZZ Class passengers receive a complimentary nonalcoholic beverage and a snack.

“After testing WIZZ Class at six of our bases and receiving extremely positive feedback, it became clear that passengers — especially business travelers — value the extra comfort and space the service provides,” said Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s chief commercial officer. “Even with the limited initial rollout, demand exceeded our expectations. We are now extending WIZZ Class across our entire network so more customers can enjoy additional space and comfort, while remaining true to our efficient single-cabin model.”

Unlike traditional business-class offerings, Wizz Class does not require costly aircraft reconfiguration. Instead, the airline simply blocks two middle seats, allowing it to preserve its high-density cabin layout and cost-efficient operating model, Wizz Air says.
