Revenue grew 7% to EUR 203 mln. While revenue of the logistics segment fell 3% to EUR 164 mln, revenue of the insurance business increased 92% to EUR 39 mln, boosted by Waberer’s acquisition of the Magyar Posta insurance businesses at end-2024.
Operating profit grew by 90% to EUR 17.7 mln.
Waberer’s booked a financial loss of EUR 2.1 mln, down from the EUR 2.7 mln in the base period.
Excluding the non-cash FX effect, net income was up 128% at EUR 13.4 mln, Waberer’s said.
Waberer’s had 2,736 trucks in its fleet during the second quarter, down 5%. In the first half of the year Waberer’s revenue climbed 4% to EUR 397.4 million and net income was up 136% at EUR 17.8 mln.
In addition to ongoing business development projects, including ongoing warehouse developments, logistical support for automotive investors entering the country, and the continuous expansion of our internationally focused projects, management will focus on the successful integration of expansion projects implemented in the previous period, CEO Zsolt Barna said.
Waberer’s management maintains its expectations for the 2025 financial year, according to which annual EBIT will exceed EUR 50 mln at the consolidated level.
