The parties reviewed the most important areas of Hungarian-Chinese economic relations, in which railway development took center stage.

First and foremost was the development of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line, which would be financed by the Bank.

The parties also discussed other possible future projects during the meeting.

This included railway projects such as the V0, a railway line that would bypass Greater Budapest, and a direct rail line to Liszt Ferenc International.

The development of a crude oil pipeline to Serbia and an electric car charging network also featured in the discussions.

However, railway development still plays a particularly important role, as transporting electric vehicles, while maintaining net zero emission goals, can only be ensured by rail transport.
