The route currently operates twice a day with Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Starting from August 1, one daily flight will be upgraded and operated using a wide-body Airbus A330.
“We are delighted to offer four additional flights to Budapest, one of our most sought-after destinations,” said Grisha Jenkov, the company’s country manager Eastern Europe – Center. “In line with our robust and expedited expansion plans, this increase in frequency and an aircraft upgrade to an Airbus A330 will provide even greater choice to our business and leisure passengers, who can connect seamlessly at five-star Hamad International Airport onwards to more than 150 global destinations,” he added.
From August 2, QR 197 will run from Doha to Budapest, departing at 3.30 p.m. and arriving at 8.20 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The returning QR 198 departs Budapest at 11 p.m. and arrives at Doha at 5.20 a.m. the following morning.
