According to state news wire MTI, Nagy said the new flight also brings new opportunities for Hungary, as travel will become easier, economic relations can be strengthened, and tourism can gain momentum.

“We have always said that Donald Trump’s presidency will open new paths between our two countries. Anyone who knows us knows that we are not satisfied with this, we will continue the work,” he said.

American Airlines will operate the flight using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 234 seats between May 21 and October 5, Budapest Airport and Visit Hungary said in a joint statement.
