Szerencsejáték revenue climbs over HUF 575 bln in 2020

Revenue of Szerencsejáték rose 6% to HUF 575.4 billion last year, the state-owned lottery company said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Excluding winnings, revenue came to HUF 190 bln.

Sports betting accounted for 48% of sales, lottery games for 30% and scratch-offs for 22%.

Sales through digital channels jumped 37% to HUF 120 bln.

After-tax profit came to HUF 23.9 bln.

Szerencsejáték CEO Gábor Czepek said the company wants to introduce new products and is weighing an expansion onto foreign markets this year.
