Spar spends more than HUF 1 bln on store upgrades

Spar has spent more than HUF 1 billion on upgrades of stores in Nagykanizsa (194 km southwest of the capital) and Gyál, on the outskirts of Budapest, the supermarket chain said on Thursday.

Spar plowed HUF 780 million into the store in Nagykanizsa and HUF 269 mln into the one in Gyál for the projects which lasted 2-3 months.

There are 588 Spar stores in Hungary. Last year, Spar Magyarország had revenue of HUF 738.9 bln. CAPEX reached HUF 28.7 bln.
