Soft drink, mineral water sales volume rises 3% in Q1-Q3

Sales volume in Hungary of mineral water, carbonated beverages, juice and iced tea reached 1.912 billion liters in Q1-Q3, edging up 3% from the same period a year earlier, professional association MAGYÜSZ told state news wire MTI.

Sales volume was still 4% under the same period in 2019, before the pandemic, MAGYÜSZ said.

MAGYÜSZ members accounted for over 95% of the bottled mineral water market in Hungary and around 90% of the soft drink and juice market. MAGYÜSZ members generate annual revenue of HUF 250 billion and employ around 4,000 people.
