The new store will be located at Deák Ferenc utca 19 on Budapest’s Fashion Street, one of the capital’s best-known shopping destinations. The brand is entering Hungary in partnership with franchise operator Arion Retail Group.
Fashion Street, known for its blend of historic architecture and modern retail concepts, attracts tens of thousands of local and international visitors daily, providing a high-profile setting for Lululemon’s debut.
The Budapest store will introduce Hungarian customers to Lululemon’s range of technical athletic apparel and accessories. The assortment will include men’s and women’s collections designed for yoga, running, training, tennis, and golf, as well as everyday performance wear.
The Vancouver-based company is known for its proprietary technical fabrics and construction techniques, developed to support performance and comfort across a variety of activities. The brand positions itself at the intersection of functionality and premium design.
European Expansion Strategy
The Hungary launch forms part of lululemon’s broader international growth strategy. In 2026, the company plans to enter five new European markets through its franchise partnership model.
In addition to Hungary, Lululemon will expand into Greece, Austria, Poland and Romania in cooperation with Arion Retail Group. Customers in Hungary will also be able to purchase products online through the company’s European e-commerce platform.
Community-focused Approach
Beyond retail expansion, lululemon said it aims to establish a local community presence in Budapest. To mark the opening, the company plans a series of community-oriented initiatives, including collaborations with local fitness and yoga studios, the launch of an ambassador program featuring local athletes and instructors, and partnerships with running clubs and movement-focused events supporting physical and mental well-being.
The official opening is scheduled for March 27, with special activities planned for early visitors. Further details on related events and future initiatives are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
UPDATE: According to a recent announcement by the company, the first lululemon store in Hungary is set to open a few days earlier, on March 27, instead of March 31.
