Lithuania Industrial Output Rebounds in October

Industrial production in Lithuania increased 0.6% year-on-year in October, recovering from a downwardly revised 2.4% fall in the previous month, data from Statistics Lithuania (LS) on Thursday show.

It was the first growth after three consecutive months of decline in industrial activity, as output fell at a softer pace for mining & quarrying (-4.8% vs -11.7% in September), electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (-2.4% vs -31.4%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (-2.6% vs -7.4%).

At the same time, output rose for manufacturing (0.9% vs 0%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production tumbled 0.9% in October, following a downwardly revised 0.3% increase in the previous month, according to the Vilnius-based statistics agency.
