Bourse turnover up at HUF 259 bln in March

Share turnover on the Budapest Stock Exchange reached HUF 259 billion in March, up from HUF 220 bln in February but down from HUF 500.8 bln in the same month a year earlier when coronavirus fears lead to a sell-off, data from the bourse show., according to news agency MTI.

Average daily turnover came to HUF 11.8 bln in March.

Wood and Company was the most active broker in March, with double-counted turnover of HUF 167.5 bln. Concorde was runner-up, brokering deals worth HUF 115.8 bln, followed by Erste Investment, with turnover of HUF 115 bln.
